East Tennessee Chapter of the Project Management Institute

Welcome

Welcome

Hello, I am Don McKenzie, President of the East Tennessee Chapter of Project Management Institute (ETPMI).  As we begin our 24th year of serving our community and promoting the profession of Project Management, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our website.  Our chapter continues to grow as interest in the profession of project management and certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) increases.  As of January 1, 2010, we have a membership in excess of 400 of which more than 260 are certified as PMP’s.

Our chapter membership covers the East Tennessee area.  Monthly chapter meetings are an important way that we keep in touch with each other through networking while, at the same time, learning more about the project management profession.  Through our meetings, important lessons learned are passed on to our membership which can be used as great tools as we return to our everyday jobs.  It also affords us an avenue to learn more about the community around us.  Please check our website often for upcoming chapter meetings, times and locations.  Everyone is welcome.  Even if you are not a member of ETPMI and see a meeting topic that interests you, you are welcome to sign up by simply going onto the website and filling out the Meeting Registration Form.

Education continues to be the primary focus for the chapter.  In the last several years, we have expanded the opportunities for project management training to our membership.  Whether you are looking to expand your general knowledge in project management or you need PDU’s towards maintaining your certification, please look to ETPMI as the “Go to Resource for Project Management Training."

Another important focus of the chapter is to get its members involved in the chapter.  There are numerous ways to volunteer with the chapter through short term projects or as a chapter officer or board member.  If you are interested in volunteering, you can go onto the website and fill out the volunteer application.

Thanks for visiting us, and please come back soon!
