Overall Effective Job Search

 


Most professionals never think about their next job until they need one.  The effective job search is not about interviewing or finding leads. Instead, it is about the ongoing process of constantly positioning yourself for the next opportunity whenever that should come along. The process works for both the employed and unemployed. However, the idea is never to be unemployed by always having ample opportunities in order to select the next position. This approach is part of a career development series that puts the job seeker in control of the situation through deliberate and managed search practices.

JT Bogden

Speaker: James T (JT) Bogden possesses a Bachelors of Science Degree in Operations Management, a PMP, and is near completion of a Masters Degree in Information Technology and Project Management. He has a diverse portfolio of projects over his career.  As a Naval Officer, he served abroad performing reconstruction and humanitarian aid projects. Earlier in his career as a Naval Aviation program manager, he performed aerospace engineering projects.  He has also managed complex software development projects as well as a variety of infrastructure projects on 25,000 user networks.  Mr. Bogden has served on the Board of Directors for APICS Tampa Bay and with PMI Tampa Bay as the Director of Communications where he managed the website and was a key participant in the selection of an upgraded chapter website.  His website is  http://www.geobubble.com and he can be reached at 423.207.4778.

Dinner: Light dinner will be served during the presentation, and will consist of sandwiches, dessert items and soft drinks. 

Cost: The cost of the program is $10 for ETPMI Members, $15 for Non-Members. 1.5 PDUS.
